Jed is the founder of Grape Debate and has been in the wine industry for almost 12 years.
His interest in wine began as a professional musician in Los Angeles. The guitarist would take him North to the vineyards of Napa Valley for long weekends and the two of them would inevitably end up missing rehearsals on Monday morning!
After realising that band life was interfering with his wine tasting, he hung up his sticks.
On returning to the UK he worked his way through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and took on the Diploma in 2002.
His first attempt at global adulation was writing wine reviews for a well known men’s magazine. His column was called “Confessions of a Corkdork” and had an impressive readership of 180,000.
Jed has organized and personally hosted over 300 events. He has co-hosted wine shows with TV celebrity Oz Clarke, taught TV comedian Bill Bailey how to sniff and spit (he wasn’t too keen on the later) and has been a guest speaker on BBC radio.
